We are able to provide training to schools, Social Care, Local Authorities, other organisations, parents and carers on a variety of themes related to child development, parenting and teaching skills, educational management and mental health and well-being.

Our experience of training in schools has included sharing knowledge and expertise around the assessment and identification of Special Educational Needs including raising awareness of developmental difficulties, specific difficulties with literacy, communication or motor skills, meeting children’s educational needs in school and families, behaviour and its management, Peer Support, Peer Mediation and supporting the mental health needs of young people in school. In addition we have also offered training on Autistic Spectrum Disorder (including Asperger’s Syndrome); Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder; Dyslexia; Dyspraxia; the educational and emotional needs of Looked After Children; the psychological effects of bullying, discrimination and exclusion; noticing strengths and competencies and building resilience.

We welcome enquiries about training on any area that has a psychological application relevant to young people, education and family life. Some of our training packages are designed for practitioners seeking practical advice and interventions, whilst some are aimed at staff who are involved in developing or reviewing policies. We also have particular experience of working with school leaders and managers. We have been involved over several years with management coaching and school development. We have our own experience of research in this field and have professional associations with successful education management consultants.
